This course follows the 2010 Utah BEMS Curriculum and guidelines for EMT Intermediate. At the completion of this course, the student will have been given instruction and practical experience in the area of IV access, drug administration, intubation, patient assessments, advanced pediatric care, cardiac rhythms and more. The student will be prepared and eligible to take the Utah State Written Exam for Certification. This will extend the EMT's Certification for 4 years upon completion of all State Requirements. If the student wishes to certify nationally as an EMT Intermediate this course also qualifies (NREMT I testing is an additional cost).
