CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation):
This course follows AHA guidelines and certifies you with basic life saving skills. Certifications offered as a bystander and also a provider level. Usual cost of this course is $25.00 per person. We do offer other pricing for large groups contact Margaret for more info.
Wilderness Training
We offer a First Responder Wilderness Certification that teaches you how to handle emergency situations in the wilderness setting. This is a very fun and hands on course, usually runs 16-80 hours depending on the certification you want and the knowledge you already have. Contact us for more information!
First Aid/Emergency Medical Responder Certification:
Basic life support skills, this course teaches you simple bandaging, splinting, how to handle simple medical emergencies, and much more. The course varies in hours anywhere from the basic first aid level at 8 hours up to an 80 hour course to obtain an Emergency Medical Responder Certification, where more knowledge is gained on how to handle emergency situations. Standard training for companies that need people certified as first responders on site, and also levels that day care providers are required to become certified in for state licensing.
EMS Update Course (Continuing Medical Education)
This is a 25 hour course for current EMT's, Recertifying EMT Basic's, Intermediates or Paramedics. All need to have a minimum of 25 hours CME to remain certified with Utah's BEMS. This course provides appropriate training in an appropriate order for all needing recertification hours. Those EMT's coming to Utah from other States wishing to challenge Reciprocity will be given a course to update their skills for Utah Certification. This will cover all the necessary subjects to prepare the EMT for their practical and written Utah BEMS State Testing. This course is available upon request and designed around the individuals needs. For those recertifying EMT Basics and Intermediates needing to Complete the State Practical Testing you should also sign up for this item in advance. It is listed separately in this section. You can choose the amount of training to meet your budget and needs. We offer several programs including a one year 25 hour plan up to a four year 100 hour plan. Pre-Requisites For Paramedic Course
Do you need to sign up for ONLINE Prerequisites for the upcoming Paramedic Program? If so this is the place. You should speak to Kirk, Jessica or Margaret prior to signing up for the class you need BEFORE you sign up. Money you pay here may never come back to you, so make sure you have received permission from Kirk, Margaret OR Jessica before you sign up.
We only allow those who are enrolled or understand these courses are NON CREDIT courses and will NOT count toward ANY college or university credit needed. These classes are ONLY for the purpose of meeting the entrance requirements of the University of Utah/Mt Nebo Training Paramedic Program. If you desire to take College/University credit courses to meet our entrance requirements, take the prerequisite courses from a University or College.
